Agony Ride 2022

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Agony Ride.

In 1982, the first Agony Ride had six cyclists and they raised $2,800. The ride took place in Death Valley.

In 1987, the ride moved to the Sierra Valley.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the Agony Ride went completely virtual. But that year, 84 cyclists rode across the country in their own neighborhoods. They raised $252,000. A fundraising record.

Today, though much has changed, the reason we ride is still the same.

For our students. For the one who came out of the womb addicted to heroine. For the one who endured abuse repeatedly at the hands of someone who was supposed to protect them. For the one everyone else has deemed "a lost cause".

As we look to Agony's 40th anniversary, we celebrate the immeasurable impact of the dollars raised and the selfless actions of hundreds of individuals who make those 24 hours possible.

This summer, whether in your local community or in the Sierra Valley, will you join us in proclaiming the message of love and hope? For more information on the Agony Ride, tracking active riders, and donating please visit www.agonyride.org.
